Welcome to the Mass Alliance for Education, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting access to education and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Guided by the principles of educational opportunity reflected in the Massachusetts Constitution, we believe education is a fundamental building block of strong families, healthy communities, and brighter futures.
Our work is grounded in the belief that students should be recognized as individuals, parents should be respected as essential partners in their children's education, religious beliefs should be respected, and students with disabilities should receive the support and protections they need.
Through education, advocacy, community engagement, and collaboration, we help empower families with information and resources, address barriers to educational access, support students with diverse needs, and encourage policies and practices that preserve equitable access to learning.
We envision a Massachusetts where families can make informed decisions consistent with their individual circumstances, values, and beliefs without unnecessarily sacrificing their child's access to education.
By bringing together families, educators, communities, and policymakers, the Mass Alliance for Education works to strengthen educational opportunity and help ensure that every Massachusetts student has the chance to reach their full potential.
Our Mission
Our mission is to protect and expand access to education by removing barriers that prevent students from fully participating in educational opportunities and by empowering families with the information, resources, and support they need to advocate for their children.
We are committed to advancing an educational system that respects the individual needs of students, recognizes parents and caregivers as essential partners, protects religious and disability rights, and ensures that a student’s medical status, disability, beliefs, or individual circumstances do not unnecessarily stand in the way of their education.
Through educational resources, community engagement, collaboration, and advocacy, we work to promote policies and practices that strengthen educational access, support student well-being, and provide families with meaningful opportunities to participate in decisions affecting their children.
We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn in an environment where they are valued as an individual, supported in reaching their full potential, and provided equitable access to the education and resources they need to thrive.

Community Partnerships
We work to identify and address barriers that can prevent students from accessing educational opportunities. Our efforts support students with diverse needs and help ensure that disability, medical status, religious beliefs, or individual circumstances do not unnecessarily interfere with a child’s education.
We build partnerships with families, educators, community organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen educational opportunities and develop resources that support students and families across Massachusetts.
